Allurion Balloon

Melissa Beitner • November 21, 2023

360 SURGERY is now offering the Allurion Balloon - the world’s first and only weight loss balloon that doesn't require surgery, endoscopy, or anaesthesia. You can lose an average of 10-15% of your total body weight and sustain up to 95% of your weight loss one year after the balloon has passed.

A gastric balloon, also called an intragastric balloon, is a non-surgical weight loss tool designed to give you the extra help you need to adjust to a healthier lifestyle. The balloon is designed to partially fill the stomach to help you feel full after a smaller volume of food.

The Allurion Balloon is made of a thin polyurethane membrane folded into a small, vegan-based capsule which is swallowed. Placement is confirmed using X-ray and then it is filled with fluid. After approximately 4 months, the fluid is released, and the membrane is passed via the gastrointestinal tract.
